The Seashore is a serene, beautiful place,
Foamy waves bathing the white sand.
Shells cover creamy clear sand of rainbows of colors.
Seagulls scanning the shores for a tasty treat.
Sitting on my blanket thinking about the sea,
Sipping iced tea.
I wade into the surface, sand slipping through my toes.
Then I think, a wonder of the world is the ocean...
The Reef,
Rainbow of coral, fish of all colors,
Surround me with a mask and snorkel.
A clown fish beckons me farther into the sea.
I eagerly follow.
I freeze, I would scream.
I was swimming in paradise.
A million coral apartments.
Fish swirled around me.An angel fish popped up.
I followed it.
It was at the surface.
Then it disappeared.
Then Mom shouted, “Where were you!”
“Paradise,” I said coolly.
Birds of Prey,
Swooping down,
Foraging for Fish for a tasty dinner,
But Wait!
Another Bird, with a big fish.
Bingo.
Flying down at lightening speed.
Get the fish, get the fish.
I’m catching up, and… HE DROPS IT!
Hurry, Hurry.
I got it.
Fish in beak, nest in sight, happy kids!
How proud they will be.
